Details
Located in the southeast area of Korea, Ulsan is a mid sized coastal city just north of Busan, on Korea's East Coast. Boasting a vibrant expatriate community and many beaches, this hard-working industrial city is a sought after location. Ulsan also offers access to the beautiful islands off Korea's East Coast.
The city of Ulsan is easy to access by rail, air and bus. The area where Ulsan is located is abundant in historical relics from the Shilla Kingdom, and is a short way from Gyeongju, a living museum representing Korea's history.
In addition to the regular Monday to Friday daytime schedule, there are some great optional programs offered and run by the Ulsan MOE:
The Sarangbang English Program
1) in-school, evening classes; three times a week from 6:00-8:00pm
2) 12 students per class
3) co-teaching with Korean English teacher
4) total of 24 hours a month at 30,000won/hour = 720,000won extra
Camp program
1) offered during the summer semester break
2) you can earn about 1,800,000won extra
3) a great way to get some extra money before you take your paid vacation time!
Both of these programs have a high participation rate among current English teachers with the Ulsan MOE with great reviews all around. They are excellent ways to legally increase your pay and boost your teaching experience in a well-establish government -run program.
